Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: TDIH from 1991, Any Takers?

The sound at this show was surprisingly good, for a big stadium. It doesn't translate to any audio I have listened to on the site but, during Trucking the Phil bombs were some of the loudest clearest deepest. In a later interview I heard the band (Weir?) talk about how loud the crowd was during that song.

The rest of the show was unique and interesting, one of the performances that have their own distinct musical quality. The band was so deft, turning the sound at will between songs and teases. I especially remember a wave feeling that we were riding it, and riding it and it crashed into an all together other song. Many teases and darkstar themes. Yet still there are people that don't belive they went into it at all.....well....they did.

This was the last decent show I saw, and I saw a depressing too many after this one.
